Password Protected Areas
The STMA on-line Property Owner Directory, STMA Meeting Minutes, and STMA documents etc. require a user name and password.
Editorial and Content Authority
The STMA Communications Committee will have editorial and content authority and control over the STMA website subject to these guidelines and regulations. All information to be posted on the STMA website must be approved in advance by the Communications Committee or its designee. In the event of a controversy, the STMA Board of Directors will have the final say.
The Following are Not Permitted:
§ Partisan political notices for any party or candidate
§ Petition notices
§ Objectionable Services/Products (determined by the STMA Communications Committee)
§ Illegal Services/Products
Unauthorized Use:
User names and passwords to specified areas of the STMA website are provided to Sea Trail property owners. The user names and passwords are and at all times shall remain the sole and exclusive property of the STMA and the members agree to maintain their respective user names and passwords as private and confidential information. Any unauthorized use of the user names, passwords, or the website is strictly prohibited.
Posted Information:
As a condition to the posting of any information provided by a STMA member the STMA member requesting such posting represents and warrants to the STMA that such member will not post or request the posting of any information that infringes on the trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights of any other person or entity. The member requesting such posting agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the STMA from all costs and expenses (including attorneys' fees) incurred by the STMA related to or arising from any breach of this representation and warranty.

Website Privacy Policy:
This privacy policy describes how the STMA will treat information posted on the STMA website. Please remember that no computer system should be considered safe from intrusion.
Website information and/or e-mail may pass through many computer systems, and should not be considered a secure means of communication unless encrypted. Even then, information is only as secure as the encryption method. Therefore, although we take precautions to protect our system and our servers, we cannot guarantee the security of any data on any server, including "secure servers."
Property Owner Information:
The STMA website provides a directory of property owner information, including name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. This information is kept on limited access computers and is only available to website visitors with proper user names and passwords. Any STMA member may have their specific information removed from the online directory by sending a written request to the STMA.
We will share website and STMA member information with governmental authorities when legally required to do so, and may cooperate with these authorities investigating claims of illegal activity such as (but not limited to) illegal transfer or use of copyrighted material, or postings of e-mail containing threats of violence. Except under the limited circumstances described above, we do not disclose website information to third parties. No STMA member shall provide access to the online directory of property owners to any unauthorized party for any reason whatsoever.
Links and Cookies:
The STMA may provide links on the STMA website to other websites of interest to property owners, whose websites are owned, operated and/or maintained by third parties. Persons or companies who own/operate such websites may use cookie technology. We do not control the use of cookies by such linked websites. Cookies are files written to a user's hard drive and read by server programs to inform a website if the user has previously visited that site.
Changes to Guidelines:
The STMA Board of Directors may make changes to this policy from time to time. The Webmaster will post changes to our privacy policy here, so be sure to check back periodically. The Webmaster may also decide to notify members by e-mail of significant changes.

EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS:
All broadcast e-mails sent out by STMA will go to all property owners with a current e-mail address in our database. This includes part time residents, lot owners, condo owners, as well as all full time residents. If a property lists two e-mail addresses, the e-mail will be sent to both addresses. Property owners can elect to opt out of receiving these broadcast e-mails at any time by notifying Debra Bordeaux at dbordeaux@seatrail.com .
Approved uses for the broadcast e-mail system include:
· Monthly distribution of the Sea Trailer
· Annual distribution of the User Name and Password for the protected website areas
· Notices of upcoming STMA “Town Hall” or Annual Meetings
· Important security alerts (approved by board president)
· Important STMA updates (received from board president)
· Other issues as determined relevant by the STMA president or board

Property owners are allowed to submit items “For Sale” to be posted in the Sea Trailer.

Criteria for the Community News Web Page/Teaser in Newsletter (taken from website guidelines)
This page was established to allow more events/opportunities to be briefly listed in the Sea Trailer Newsletter (a teaser) with a link to the website for complete details without overly burdening the Sea Trailer with a lot of graphics and flyers.
The intent of the community news page is to broadcast general community events and happenings both in Sea Trail as well as the local area that would be of interest to residents of Sea Trail.
To appear on the community page and as a teaser in the Sea Trailer the following criteria must be met:
- Must be submitted by a property owner in Sea Trail and that name will appear by the item.
- Events happening within Sea Trail that would be of interest to all property owners
- Events happening in the community that would be of interest to all property owners
- Opportunities in the community available to all property owners
- Should not include requests for assistance to individuals outside of Sea Trail
- Should not include items for sale, or items needed by any individual
Deadline policy
Deadline for newsletter article submissions = 22nd of the month sent to editor via e-mail to theseatrailer@atmc.net or amybucklin@comcast.net
Deadline for address changes = 15th of the month sent via e-mail to dbordeaux@seatrail.com
