The Dan Maples Signature Course at Sea Trail Plantation  opened in October of 1985, and quickly gained a reputation as one of the best-conditioned courses in the Southeast. In 1986 Golf Digest named it to the list of the most outstanding new resort courses in the country.

Twisted ancient oaks, tall Carolina pines and tifdwarf greens define each hole on the beautiful par-72 course, still regarded as one of Maples' finest. This one-of-a-kind course has newly renovated A1/A4 blended Bent grass greens.

Five holes wind along the scenic Calabash Creek, home to nesting pairs of osprey and other native  wildlife.  The course is also peppered with numerous waste bunkers; one of which  extends the full length of the fairway.

Adding to the challenge is the use of attributes of the land and water in this natural setting, causing the golfer to ponder both the layout and the beauty of the course. But be advised . . . the Maples course is no "walk in the park"!

The Maples Clubhouse offers a full service pro shop.
