2007 Membership Letter December 5, 2006
Dear Members & Property Owners,
I hope your 2006 year was a good one on the golf courses. We in the Golf are looking forward to a great 2007 golf season.
I want to thank everyone who participated in a very successful Wine & Cheese Party. For those who could not make it, there is still time to shop for yourself or that special someone.
This year was not too bad on the golf courses. Hot weather didn't get here until late July and the first of August. In 2007, the courses will be in great shape as a result of the exceptional job done by Matt Owens and the golf course Maintenance Department. You have seen I am sure, many improvements in both Golf Shops with a fresh assortment of quality merchandise thanks to Gina Gore. The level of custome service has also improved thanks to Eddie Pratt and Angela Lewis.
The 2007 golf season should be a great one with some fun and exciting golf events. Mark you calendar for the following:
-
March 7, 2007 - Tough Day (played with the professional staff @ Sea Trail. This will be a captain choice format) played on the Byrd Course.
-
June 11, 2007 - Ladies Pro Am (played with the professional staff @ Sea Trail) played on the Jones Course
-
August 23, 2007 - Men's Pro Am (played with the professional staff @ Sea Trail) played on the Byrd Course
-
October 8, 2007 - Men's and Ladies Pro Am (played with the professional staff @ Sea Trail) played on the Jones Course.
-
We will plan a summer Night Putting Tournament for both men & women, and will also add another tournament during the year.
Keep an eye out in the golf shops for these announcements. These Sea Trail Corporation sponsored tournaments will be complete with great food and prizes.
Also for 2007 the Handicap Fee for Members who wish to have an established handicap will be $20.00. This fee can be paid in the Golf Shops. The handicap fee will be due January 15, 2007. The advantages of having an established handicap is for playing in any tournaments that require an official handicap. For example, any club event or invited club tournaments, Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) events, or any PGA event such as Pro/Am's here or away.
